# What’s more secure, SSL, TLS, or HTTPS?

HTTPS is the most secure of the three. HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure and is a combination of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security). It provides an encrypted connection between a user's browser and a web server and is used for the secure transmission of sensitive data.
